The victim of a tree trimming accident, little Chester the dove fell out of his nest and was left on the streets of Bangkok to fend for himself. Not yet ready to fly, I decided to take him into my custody until he’s strong enough to do so

I placed him in a cardboard box and have been feeding him a steady diet of egg yolk and a crushed peanut and water mixture for the past two days. To my delight, he’s been getting stronger and has even started to exercise his wings in preparation for his first flight. Until then, I will enjoy the company of my new little friend and help him on his way to adulthood.

I take him in his little box to the office with me and he’s been sitting by my side as I computer throughout the day. Just before I eat lunch I whip up some egg yolks to him and he happily eats away, giving out a few cheeps of excitement every now and again.

Chester Computes with me

Chester doesn’t have much to do with travel, but I wanted to write about him anyway. I hope that soon I’ll be able to write a follow-up post on setting him free. :)
